More Papertrey Ink Birthday Cards

For some reason whenever I pull out my Papertrey Ink dies I always reach for my DCWV corrugated paper.  I'm weird like that!  The results are generally good though so I doubt I will stop any time soon.

Here are a few more birthday cards I made that went into my sister's card stash package.  I have to apologize about the brightness of the picture.  I am going to have to start photographing my cards a few hours later in the afternoon.  Clearly I was a bit exuberant in my quest for more light!

Happy Birthday Scribbles

I have wanted these Papertrey Ink scribbles dies for the longest time.  Last week I broke down and just ordered them.  I've been pinning quite a few cards using the stamps and scribbles dies.  This one is a pretty straight scraplift from this card - Pinterest.  Mine is a little more colorful, but the idea is super cute.  These cards will be on their way soon to my big sister.  It's time to replenish her card stash and she made a specific request for birthday cards.

Christmas Tree Shaker Cards Redux

Round two!  I used a flourish tree and paired it inside a circle and added it to the top of a flourish frame.  I love when I can combine several different shapes to make something like this.  Makes me feel like my money at the Silhouette store has been well spent.

Sassy Witch Shaker Cards

I have been oogling over this witch image from the Silhouette store for some time now.  What to do?  Turn it into a shaker of course.

Trick or Treat

Trick or Treat, smell my feet.  My kids will be saying that ad nausem in just a few short weeks I am sure.  Here is my second set of Halloween shakers.  The process is the same - find a cute tag, add some layers in the Silhouette Studio software, and wallah!

Let the Halloween Shaker Card Parade Begin . . .

Bad news for those of you who are tired of shakers - I have a bunch more and I haven't seen or felt the light at the end of the tunnel.  So you are going to have to bear with me for some time to come.  I did, however, pull out my Halloween bin.  I actually don't have nearly as much as I used to have, which is a good feeling!

So here is the first of two Halloween sets that I have recently made.  I took a frame from the Silhouette store and turned it into a shaker.  I added some Halloween sequin confetti that I found at the party store, along with a bunch of cute little beads.

Thank You Flower Shaker Cards

Brandy has been bugging me to replenish her Thank You card stash.  This card is made from a file in the Silhouette store that is actually designed for shakers.  It goes a whole lot quicker that way.

Get Well Soon Bear Shakers

I don't often do cutesy and the Silhouette store is full of these type of designs lately.  That said, I really did like this bear dressed as a nurse with a big band aid.  And because I can't stop making shakers I had to incorporate that into the card as well.  These cards are for a swap that I am participating in later this month.  I am halfway done, now I just need to make some sympathy cards.

Christmas Tree Shakers

There are quite a few files in the Silhouette store that are perfect for shakers.  I purchased this one quite a while ago with the intention of doing something festive with it.  I decided to turn it into a shaker.  I am making quite a few card sets these days.  My best friend Brandy, and my sisters love to come raid my card drawer.  It's easier to deal with when I have duplicates of everything.

Noel Shaker Cards

The Silhouette online store has some great files that are easy to turn into shakers.  I found this Noel file and thought it would be great as a shaker.  Several offsets and compound paths later and I was ready.   This card is actually pretty big - it's a little over six inches wide and over 4 inches in tall.  I really loved making a larger Christmas card.  It makes it easier to write a good long note.

Jingle Bells

And the parade of shaker cards continues!  These next two took quite a bit of time to make, only because I had to make the shaker box fairly thick so that the bells would actually jingle.  I spent a lot of time at my Cameo cutting out chipboard.  And of course today, I find smaller bells at a different store.  Figures right?  I thought I was done with this one, but I might actually revisit this design and make a few more now that they don't have to be so chunky.

I love the way they sound.  Too cool!
