Go Broncos!

I was raised in Colorado, and like any good current or past Colorado resident I will be Denver Broncos fan for life.  It has been a while since I purchased any new Bronco gear and with this week's AFC Championship game upon us I wanted a new shirt to represent my team.  I am going to be surrounded by unsufferable Patriots fans on Sunday.  The horror!  So, in my quest to find a new shirt, and my annoyance at the ridiculous prices a light bulb went off in my head - just make your own silly.  So that's what I did.  With a $15 hoodie from Old Navy, a bit of flocked and glitter heat transfer vinyl and Walla!

I love the way it turned out.  Seriously it took me less than an hour from start to finish for this project.  And now I have my husband clamoring for an Atlanta Falcons shirt.  I wonder if he wants me to add the bling?

Friduss Four Life

I recently made some pillows!  Okay, not exactly.  I recently cut out some heat transfer vinyl and applied it to pillows!  That's more accurate.  And I love, love, love them.  I actually have three more that I will share on another day.

"Live Each Moment" and the "Family" saying on the last pillow are files that I purchased from the Silhouette store.  I designed the Friduss Four Life myself.  Super duper easy and I love when it's easy AND the final product turns out great.

Make A Joyful Noise

My nephew is a father!  It's weird to type that.  Especially since it implies the word "Grand" in front of Aunt.  I'm too young I tell you!  That said, little Aubrii is a cutie and I created this page for my sister to hang in her house.  I promised my nephew one as well, just as soon as I come up with something a little less girly.

I used an old SEI stack for this page.  It's called Chocolat and I made one of my first great scrapbook pages with this stack.  One that sort of put me back into the head space of scrapbooking.  I had to go looking for it and what a trip down memory lane that was.  Here is a link to that blog post for anyone that is interested.   This was part of a book I put together for my Mom so the book is 2000 miles away.  I loved reminiscing about this day.

As I often do when I find paper I love, I bought a second stack to just "have" in case I ran out of the other one.  It's been several years since I pulled it out and I am glad I kept it.  I also recently reorganized my wood veneers into cases so I can't tell you who makes what anymore.  The new system is working for me though.  I have them all at my fingertips and I'm more likely to actually use them this way.  Trying to use what I have, use what I have, use what I have . . .

Happy Birthday . . . Better Late than Never

Every year my sister begins to remind me at least a few weeks ahead of her birthday that she would appreciate her birthday card ON her birthday.  Did that happen this year?  Nope.  I think I am like 0/3 for the past three years.  However, I am earlier than I was last year, which was like, Valentine's Day.  So here it is.  Happy Birthday Tiffany!  It's better late than never!

My First Recital

My youngest started piano about six months ago.  Some days it is easy.  Some days it is hard.  But what is remarkable and wonderful is that after such a short time he has, in the words of his awesome piano teacher/therapist Jessica, "perfect pitch."   Which I am told is no small thing.  So we were thrilled to attend his first recital.  These pictures have been everywhere, Facebook, emailed to family, friends.  So it is no wonder they ended up on a scrapbook page.

And as a result of this FANTASTIC recital I now have TWO boys playing the piano.  Which, let me tell you, is heads above the recorder!
