Bookstore Blues

I love Instagram!  I seriously could scrap nothing but 4 x 4 for the rest of my life.  Okay, maybe not that long, but I really like using these photos on layouts.  This is my latest page that I put together today.  My first time using washi tape on a layout and I have to say I like it.  Plus, adding all of the little elements.  I had forgotten how much quicker this goes when I'm not making everything myself!

Recipe:
Paper:  Authentique Genuine Collection
Silhouette:  side embellishment mats and journaling tag
Title:  Amy Tangerine Thickers
Embellishments:  Studio calico wooden pieces, MME The Sweetest thing Brads, etc. Washi tape, tags, Mr. Huey's opague white, custard, Basic Grey flags, twine from The Twinery

Toot Your Own Horn - Casual Fridays No. 72

This week's Cas-ual Fridays challenge is to make a card inspired by your own blog heading.  I am still head over heels in love with my blog design, it is so very me.  I decided to work with the same paper stack I used last time - My Mind's Eye Moments 6 x 6 stack.  The colors are perfect as they remind me of my blog.

Heroic Birthday Card

I need a quick birthday card for this evening.  I'm going to a birthday dinner for a friend I met through our local autism support group.  She's a fantastic woman and I don't think I know anyone who has worked harder for her kid.  Anyway, I have been playing with my digital kits and my latest favorite is from Traci Reed.  It's called Heroic and I love the vintage comic book images.  I used a few to make this birthday card using this week's sketch from Retro Sketches.

Thank You Treat Boxes featuring Fall Splendor

My sister asked me to make her some boxes that she can hand out as little gifts to the people who help her on her fundraising campaigns.  I have been dawdling around with the project for a while and finally got going on it this week.  I used a box from the Silhouette Store designed by Lori Whitlock, and the new DCWV's Fall Splendor stack.  Here they are!

Recipe:
Paper:  DCWV Fall Splendor, Silky Smooth Stack, Neutrals Stack
Stamp:  Stampin' Up
Buttons & Twine:  My Stash

Project Life Weeks Thirty-Six through Thirty-Eight

It's been a while right?  My mojo hasn't returned to paper quite yet, but in the meantime I have been keeping up with Project Life.  In fact, I even went back and put in some serious time on our cruise photos from this past summer.  I still have tons of journaling to do, but I am hoping to be done with that in the next month or so.  In the meantime, I have been keeping up with my weekly spreads.  I can't believe we just started Volume 3 and I have been doing this for over eight solid months now.  Whew!  Some of my weekly spreads are better than others in terms of the number of pictures I actually take.  You will see one super duper large photo split between the different pockets early on and that clearly was a light week.  But at the same time, I love, love, LOVE working on inserts for special occasions.  I put together a few for my music festival birthday celebration this past weekend. I'm not going to post all my photos because there are a ton, but I will give you the highlights . . .

New monthly dividers!

Inserts for the Birthday Celebration Start Here - I love Instagram!

And that's it.  You probably noticed lots of digital work here.  I have finally found my happy place with Project Life and it involves using PSE 10 to add journaling and digital elements to my album.  It feels right and just about as *me* as anything can right about now.  I don't think I used any bit of my Silhouette here - amazing!

Here are two quick pictures of the new monthly dividers that I put together.  I have one more to go - December and then 2012 will be a wrap!

Happy Birthday Card

Brandy came to visit and resurrected my mojo for just a moment.  We put together this card pretty quickly.  Yes, it's a birthday card because Brandy never has enough birthday cards.  Or so I am told.

The Cameo Spotlight No. 4

Hey everyone!  I know I haven't been posting much, I am in a bit of a crafting lull right now.  Eh, it happens from time to time.  The good news is I have read some fantastic books on my little holiday and I've got a few more good ones lined up.  But that's not what you're here for is it?  Today is The Cameo Spotlight challenge day!  I have a new card to share with you based on this week's theme - triangles . . .

Make sure you stop by the challenge to see what else the rest of the Design Team has created for you!

Happy Birthday card

I am continuing to add to my Birthday card stash.  While I was cleaning out and purging my scraproom a few weeks ago I came across some InStitchez templates by Bazzill.  I remember buying them years ago and I had every intention of actually using them, but I never got around to it.  I thought about getting rid of them, after all if I had not used them in so long I clearly didn't know what I was missing, but I decided to make myself use them at least once.  You see my very first flower on this card.  It's actually very easy, but unfortunately time consuming.  I also used another one of the darling images my dear friend Kymberlee from The Paper Midwife sent me.  I love every single one!

Recipe:
Paper -  Amy Tan's Sketchbook 6 x 6, Recollections cardboard 5 x 5 cards
Bazzill In Stitchez template and embroidery floss
Brad & Ribbon are from my stash
Stamps:  Paper Smooches
Spellbinders:  Nested Pennants
Silhouette:  scanned image and created outline shadow and mat for the little girl
